The Red Lion pub in Fernhurst, Surrey, is located right at the edge of the lovely village green. It’s a popular region with walkers, but you don’t even need to leave the pub’s front garden for great views of the Southdowns. Here’s how to get here:Get Directions
By Car
Fernhurst lies just off the A286 between Midhurst and Haslemere. Once you enter the village, just head for the village green - you’ll find plenty of parking both at the pub and around the green.
By Train
Many a guide book shows circular walks from Haslemere train station which come right past the pub - and indeed plenty of walkers come down from London for the pleasure. The station is roughly 4 miles away through lovely countryside (but you could always take a taxi if you prefer!)
